Yeah, I guess that black ink does get in the way.
But anyways, with this release, we are now up to date on every current series we’ve decided to encode.
OK, here’s Otome Yokai Zakuro episodes 1 – 8. The subs are from Horriblesubs, where are actually rips from CrunchyRoll.
As usual, everyone in N LogN EG have been really busy, but we’re hoping that things will ease off as we wade through the holiday season. Here’s what we’ve done in November:
We’ve added DDL’s for all new releases that are under 1 gigabyte. Albeit, these DDL’s aren’t available immediately after release and are liable to disappear 21 days after posting them.
OK, so reports tell us that the current CCCP does work with our material. We’re happy to hear that our stuff can now be played on all computers that have been updated with the latest CCCP release. That doesn’t really change anything, but it’s worth mentioning. Furthermore, it appears that nobody knows how to use ordered chapters properly, so the CCCP can’t work miracles and fix broken encodes from Chihiro, Coal Girls, SubsFuckingWhere, Thor, or any other fansub group that separates out the OP/ED from the main episode.
Oh man, this was an ordeal. Nobody wanted to do this series, since we picked it up so late in the season; the task was, essentially, to do the entire thing from scratch. Well, we finally finished it and released it this month. That’s one monkey off our backs.
Yes! Fuck ya! We did it. We finished this series and we’re freakin’ happy that it’s done and over with. By the way, after we do the Macross Frontier Movie (whenever we get around to it), we will probably never do another Macross anything again. That is unless we can recruit someone who’s willing to totally solo the whole project for free.
We decided to pick this series up, but the 1080p raws look upconverted, but that’s not going to stop us from wasting space, time, and bandwidth on it. Not sure when we’ll get to these, but they’re slated after the Hayate no Gotoku S2 BD’s
We’ll be encoding this series as soon as we can get our hands on some RAW’s or BDMV’s. From the looks of it, you’re going to be sorely disappointed in the quality of the BD’s. It seriously looks like KyotoAnimation just ran the TV episodes through warpsharp and packaged everything up for the Christmas season. Regardless, we’re doing both seasons—yes, even Endless Eight. That shit’s gonna suck, but we’re actually planning on releasing that whole arc together, so you can suffer through all 240 minutes of that mindless repetition in one sitting.
Ahhh, and then after Endless Eight, KyoAni released The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya and the fandom rejoiced. Seriously, if they hadn’t done that, everyone would’ve hated KyoAni. What’s the point in building a marvelous piece of art and then taking a shit on it? Seriously. It doesn’t make any sense.
We loved this series, except for the fact that it was cobbled up at the last moment, had tons of weird, stupid twists, shallow character development/derailment, and narmy sentimental moments.
It’s been quite a while since either of the seasons of this series came out, but we figured many people out there would appreciate this series.
Without a doubt, the Unlimited Blade Works BD was pretty much a success for everyone, so why not just go ahead and do the TV series?
Strike loves to randomly pick up stuff and encode them. So we figured, why not?
We’re going to continue into the winter months encoding Amagami SS, Index II, Hyakka Rouran Samurai Girls, and Katanagatari.
From what I’ve heard, this should end on Christmas Eve—and hell yes, we’re still in business on the holidays.
Not much to say here. UTW has decided to use CFR instead of VFR. Thank God.
Strike has been lagging behind this series due to minor roadblocks in life: graduation, final projects, final exams…nothing really worth mentioning.
This ends on December 10th—right around the day that The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya comes out. Regardless, we’re doing both of these at full speed.
These take priority for now. We’ll go ahead and release episodes 5 and 6 sometime this week. We forgot to include the ED’s in episodes 1 and 2, but we’ll fix that up right before the batch so that we can manufacture Code Geass and Clannad first.
OK, so we’re going to do both of these at the same time. For Code Geass, we’ll be using Thor’s subs and some 1080p raws. For Clannad, we’ll be using Coal Girl’s release—with the credited OP and ED.
Oh and the reason why we’ve been putting off the Eden of the East Movies is because they were terrible. At least, I thought they were terrible. But I think that about wraps it up.
So, we totally missed the missing ED’s on episodes 1 and 2; I guess that’s what we get for using Thor’s release. Anyways, we’re going to re-release those with the ED’s sometime next week. Furthermore, we’re going to stop using Thor’s releases and just take GG’s subs and put them on top of the RAW’s. Sorry about that folks.
But, we do have some good news: we picked up the Volume 3 of the BD’s, so you’ll have episodes 1 – 6 available to you within the next couple of weeks. But, this also means that we’re shifting Code Geass and Clannad back—zombies and boobs are just too appealing to me.
Anyways, enjoy the holiday.
